Finally, we will head to England, every week I wonder why bookmakers underestimate Port Vale so much. Especially when they play at home, where they are among the better teams. Also, their form is not that poor that they would be underdogs against one of the poorest away teams in recent years, Shrewsbury.
Port Vale are currently 21st and they are fighting against relegation, but so are Shrewsbury. At home, Valiants are 8-5-5 which is actually 10th best home record of all 24 teams, so they are tough to beat. Also, their form is pretty solid. They played Bristol Rovers (1-1), strong Bradford (1-2) and Swindon (3-2) at home lately.
Now they must win against direct relegation rivals and I expect them to do so. Shrewsbury are amongst the poorest away teams with only 3 wins in 19 away games, so I really don`t understand these odds. There was no disaster among home players, also away team did not buy Rooney...
Valiants were actually unlucky in their last travel at Northampton, as they were better team towards the final minutes, but Cobblers scored 2-1 winner in 88th minute. But if they continue with good performances, Vale should win this. No news about any important misses for them, my call is 2-1 home win!
