From South America we will head to Asia, another very important match in Asian Champions League. Shanghai are one of the strongest Chinese teams and we know that Chinese are now threatening Japanese and Koreans as East Asians powers #1. They are buying stars from other continents and are playing strong football then ever.
Shanghai of course have a vast and strong economical support. They are a team from the biggest Chinese city and this season they splashed their money to bring stars like Oscar, Hulk, Carvalho and Elkeson. They are managed by Andre Vilas Boas and results were iminent: two strong League wins (2-0 and 5-1) and easy qualification to group stages of Champions League (3-0 against Sukhotai and 1-0 at strong Seoul). In the first match of the group stages, they have trashed Western Sidney (5-1).
Now they will play against attractive, but perhaps a bit naive team from Japan: Urawa Reds. Yes, they are playing high scoring spectacles, but they recieve many goals and away from home are by far not so dangerous. They have a solid team, which is not comparable to the one Shanghai have. Bookmakers are still not sure about strnenght of teams like Shanghai as they did not achieve much in the past, but as said: now Chinese teams are really gaining in quality and will sone overcome Japanese.
I expect Shanghai to do the work here and continue with their fantastic winning streak: my call is 3-1!
