Two teams played more under than over games this season, but traditionally games between them are filled with goals.
I’d expect both teams to go out looking for three points and hopefully we’ll see an open game with chances on both ends. Drogheda lost 1-0 at home against Shamrock Rovers last week, but they missed few half chances and should have scored at least one in that game. Today, Drogheda will be without their top two defenders as Alan Byrne and Joe Gorman are both suspended. That’s a huge blow and I’d expect them to struggle at the back.
Bray are in a good run of form of late winning four of their last five league games all by 1-0. Last week they suffered 1-0 defeat to Dundalk at home. So very few goals in their recent games, but last week Dundalk had 5-6 clear chances, hit the cross bar twice, Bray defenders cleared off the line and that game should have ended with at least 3-4 goals. Bray also had their chances but failed to convert them.
All in all, I hope we’ll see an entertaining and open game and odds on over are way too high at the moment, I think
