Pats defeated non-league team Pike Rovers (8-0), before defeating First Division champion Limerick (2-0) and Cobh Ramblers (3-2) to reach semi-final. City at the same time defeated St. Peter’s (4-0), Longford Town (4-1) and Shamrock Rovers (5-0). That 5-0 win over Rovers was away from home and it shows what are Cork capable of on their good day.
Cork have no major injury concerns ahead of this game, while Pats have midfielders David Cawley, Keith Treacy and Jack Bayly all out through injury.
Odds on Cork are pretty good at the moment I think, although it might seem little short, considering this is cup semi-final and Pats are at home. Opening odds in this market were about 2.1 and I was thinking to take even at that price, but 2.63 are way too high, I think. Cork are far better team this season and I hope they’ll repeat last season’s result when they’ve reached the final.
