I rarely take a bet on over goals involving Irish teams at this stage of European competitions, quite the opposite unders are my regular bets at this part of the season. This year Irish teams played 10 matches in Euro qualifiers and 8 of them went under 2.5 goals, but this game could be different, I think.
Having drawn 1-1 away to Dinamo last week, Pats are in a good position to progress to the next round if they manage to keep the clean sheet at home. But the fact that Dinamo must score makes me think we could see some goals tonight. Pats have scored 16 and conceded 14 goals in 9 games at home this season and just once managed to keep the clean sheet. Their main striker Christy Fagan scored last week and he seems to be fully fit after injury that kept him out of the field earlier this season. Pats usually scores at home and Dinamo’s defense looked shaky last week, so hopefully we’ll see Pats creating some good chances tonight. It's looking like game will be a sell out tonight, so good atmosphere expected.
Last week Dinamo missed few good opportunities and failed to score more than once. They replaced their manager after that game and I’d expect players to react and be more clinical up front.
Small stake obviously as I based my pick solely on Saint’s style of play and I don’t know much about Dinamo, but odds are better that expected and deserve a punt, I think.
