Galway have nothing to play for as they comfortably sit on 9th position 18 points more than Wexford. Wexford are 11th five points ahead of last placed Longford and they will most likely play relegation play off against First division team at the end of season.
Both teams will have some important players missing tonight. Wexford are without central defender Gary Delaney remains sidelined through injury while striker Aidan Keenan returns from suspension.
Galway on the other side have a number of players considered doubtful and they will face late fitness tests ahead of the game. Enda Curran, Stephen Folan, Jesse Devers, Kevin Devaney and Marc Ludden. Their captain Ryan Connolly is suspended and United will have a number of under-19 squad members added to their first team tonight.
Wexford lost their last two games to Pats 4-1 and Bray 3-1 respectively, while Galway’s last four games all ended up with five or more goals. Without any pressure they play to score and there is no too much discipline at the back. Hopefully we’ll see another high scoring game, with goals at both ends. Odds are attractive enough, I think.
