First things first, the wind can be very crucial for over/under bets at Wrigley Field and today's forecast predicts a blowing out wind, which is not the best news. But actually, after bookies woke up on this matter, it stopped being profitable to bet on over under such conditions and it's predicted a 13 miles per hour wind after all, not a huge game changer speed.
After all, this is a duel between two very good starting pitchers, Montgomery has 4.24 DRA and 4.26 xFIP, he has to deal with a Twins' lineup which managed to produce only 15 runs in last seven games and it wasn't all against very good pitching staffs whatsoever, whereas Berrios has 3.43 DRA and 3.36 xFIP and he enjoyed a marvellous June in which he allowed only 8 runs in 34.1 innings. I know Cubs had been lights out in Los Angeles lately, but that doesn't change the fact that they scored more than four runs only once at Wrigley Field in ten games in June.
I don't understand this game having one of highest totals of today's card. Cubs have a great defense, not so good bullpen lately, but still both of these teams' pens have 1.0+ WAR's, whereas Twins' defense rank at the middle of the pack, whereas their bullpen has 3.00- xFIP in last couple weeks. In addition, I expect both starters to have the upper hand against the offenses. 1.9+
