Massivly important game, as both are in grave danger of relegation. Both teams in poor form, Vålerenga 0-3-2 last 5, and Tromsø are 2-0-3 last 5.
Former Celtic manager Ronny Deila has taken over VIF, trying to salvage them from the drop. Vålerenga got a new stadium under build in Oslo, and a relegation will be devestating for them.
Tromsø is obviously from North Norway, likely the most northern football top level football club in the world. They play on artificial grass, as they are way north of the Artic Circle, in fact 350km north. Great article about footie clubs in the far north here: http://thesefootballtimes.co/2015/02/18/football-in-the-arctic-circle/
When a club like Tromsø play their away games in sourth Norway, eample being at Start Kristiansand, south tip of Norway, it is a distance of 2000km, equivalent of Berlin to Moscow. Needless to say, this game is as important for Tromsø, and the region in the north, as it is for Vålerenga and the capitalists in the south.
Tromsø is a physical team, perhaps lacking a bit in skill, but got plenty of heart, and this could well be enough in crunch games like this. They are used to fight both elements and relegation battles, and for this, I will hold them favourites.
Also add to the fact that VIF do not play in articifial grass in their home games, the home side has another advantage.
2.46 at Coolbet is good odds. As a reference, a bookie like Pinnacle is down on 2.30.
